Food Drive

September is National Hunger Awareness month and ICIE partnered with Inland Valley Hope Partners to sponsor a food drive at our local Ralphs grocery store.

Alhumdulliah the ICIE food drive was a great success. We collected 11 carts of groceries which amounted to over 700 pounds of food which will be given to the food pantries in the Inland Emprie. Thanks to all the volunteers who came out while fasting to work this event in the 90+ degree weather.

 

Blood Drive

mayor protemAlhamdulilah our first blood drive was a great success. We collected forty one pints of whole blood for the American Red Cross and had thirty six first time donors. We were also honored by the presence of two members of the Rancho City Council, Mayor Pro Tem. Dennis Michael (seen above) and Rex Guttierez, who showed their support for our effort and also donated blood. ICIE also had a health screening on this day and sixty one people came out to get their cholesterol and blood pressure checked along with screening for Diabetes.
